Works with Dropbox. I dont use any local files so cant comment on if it corrupts them or not. Update fixed issues I was having since iOS 9.

The interface needs a general face-lift but this is the only app I know that can retrieve a text file from Dropbox, edit it then save it back. It is also the only one that can do the same while being called from within Dropbox, which is very versatile. Neither Apple Pages nor Microsoft Word can do that. (Word opens doc files but not simple text files, mind you).
Now that Microsoft had native versions of Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) available on iOS, I havent used 3rd party Office apps in months.. Why would one use this over Microsoft apps?
Today I purchased the Premium version after months of using the Free version. After purchasing and downloading I thought my existing docs (one very important one I was working on), would remain and I would have full use of the cloud sync, etc. Well, after downloading I couldnt find my file and am sick to have to start all over with creating it. I wrote Tech Support and its 3 DAYS for them to respond. Not good! Like the app, but having a bad experience. I wish the doc management info was included in the setup/sales info.
I know that there are lots of other options out there, but I have been using this app for years with Dropbox and word and excel files and it has been super reliable and useful. A great purchase.
When I bought this app it was the best, in my opinion. Now, having it for 3 years, its gone downhill FAST. Bad updates that corrupt files, lack of support and an outdated computer interface that hasnt been updated... ever? It seems when it was new it made its millions and now DataViz appears (at least to me) to have abandon it. In the digital world you either update regularly... or DIE.
You would think that a program with this cost would support or plan to support wireless printing. But they say there is no support or plans to do so. Id have liked to have known this upfront. I bought this so I wouldnt need to have a PC with me all the time. The note below is their reply to my question on supporting a printing option. "We currently do not support or plan on supporting a print option in Docs to Go. You would have to sync the document to your desktop and print from there. Thank you and we apologize for the inconvenience."
When will you add airprint support??
Worked fine for years, but latest software update will no longer recognize devices- useless without synchronization.
I had been using this app with Dropbox and like it. Recently, I got a free year of unlimited storage from Amazon Cloud Drive but was really disappointed that it is not supported.
I am using this with my iPod accessing doc via Dropbox. This has been my go-to app for any kind of office documents - opening or creating new documents - for years and I love it, except... Well, no, I do love it, but Ive been frustrated of late. A couple months ago it started hanging up when I tried to open Excel sheets. Ive deleted and reloaded ( reloading 60+ documents as well) and tried to report the problem, but havent heard anything back and havent seen a fix so maybe I am an isolated, therefore unimportant, case. Will try again and keep hoping, or else will need to look for something that can edit spreadsheets, at least.
I use Dropbox and Docs to Go Premium for my iPad. Used to sync well but with latest update will not sync at all. Says it is syncing but then the new files dont show up. When I email them (excel files) to myself and then open them in Dropbox they dont look the same as on my computer. Dont buy.
Ive been using this for years on several different iPhones and iOS versions but now it crashes on my iPhone 6s, no updates to fix this?
Used for years with great success...until I upgraded to iPhone 6s. I tried it to re-sync files and longer works. App and Mac app crash each time I try to sync. Have tried multiple options such as removing both apps off Mac & iPhone...continues to crash.
Has now become obsolete since Microsofts free office suite has arrived.
Because... I can send work I created in other apps to this app and transfer them to my PC where I then can use another PC application to email my work to a friend for viewing. It works for what I need it to do and Im happy with it. Im hoping that the app will not be abandoned like so many others. I occassionally check my other apps in iTunes, and I have been seeing more of them which simply do not exist anymore, or have turned into something that I do not own. One of the apps I am talking about is, or rather was, called "Pastebot." Now its called something else and there is a price on it. Its not what I originally bought anymore. So, what happened to the Pastebot app? I have no idea. I guess it just morphed into Tweetbot or something like that. ... My previous reviews start HERE: Okay - I got brave and decided to update the app. So far I am having no problems. NOW HERE IS MY PREVIOUS REVIEW > > Due to all the warnings not to update I am hesitant about updating. So I will wait. Other than that, I think this is a great product. Ive had it for years with no problems. It is simple to use and very handy. Its the only app I have for the purposes it serves. I have not tried any other apps that do the same thing because I was satisfied with this one. If necessary, I would look for similar apps, but so far I havent found the need to look around.
This wont update and wont delete. Lost so many docs. Ive updated iOS every time. Waste of money!!!
